Saco River Health’s Day Habilitation program assists individuals diagnosed with Mental Retardation or Autism in acquiring and developing the basic activities of daily living.
By allowing a person the opportunity to learn, use and practice these skills, it helps them establish and maintain a level of identity and independence within their home and community.
Such skills include:
- Personal Care
- Personal Safety
- Integration Within the Community
- Motor Skills
- Light Housework Duties
- Interpersonal Relationships
This program allows individuals and their families to overcome difficulties by allowing the individual to establish their identities in a positive environment.
